This year our Christmas with our grandkids is to be held in Sydney...at son Darryls place. We planned to take our time and we gave ourselves three weeks in which to do this 1000 km trip. This time, instead of taking one of the inland routes we decided to go down via the Pacific coast, the Pacific highway. This is the 'down' part of the trip...the return home is the next trip.
To see the trip photos click on the photo below, it will expand and you can navigate through the slide show by clicking the arrows to each side.
Mullumbimby Show Grounds..green grass and lots of it. The show grounds are well off the busy Pacific Highway, travellers mostly drive right past it. The road in from the north is quite narrow and winding in places, caravaners need to take care, to enter from the south would be our preference.
This heritage listed 100 year old bridge once opened, but not for a long time. Like Mullumbimby Maclean is also off the main highway, limited facilities here, toilets and water, no power...there is a dump point though. You can drive to town and be able to buy most supplies, its $10 per night to camp here.
