If you have a caravan that has a bed that you extend when you want to use it..ie a Jayco...this may interest you;
Jayco underbed issues
It appears that some model Jayco caravan have poorly designed bed supports...the bowed slats under the inner spring mattress are continually being displaced!... by looking at various caravan owners website forums I found out that this is a common issue with this style of bed...see how I fixed it. Click on a photo to see the slide show.
On this particular bed the mattress slides back and forward, during the day it is slid back to save room, at nighttime it goes forward again to sleep on. Invariably, due to poor design the two rear-most under-bed slats would drop off whenever the mattress was slid back. The only way I could find to fix this issue was to use the cable ties!...a more professional approach might be to use screws and washers...quite awkward to get to.. I'll see how the zip ties go first!
Built into the bed sliding mechanism there are four red plastic guides designed (poorly) to allow the bed to slide back and forward, all of ours had broken during normal usage.
