Gunnedah
Gunnedah is a wheat and cattle town, its around 100km east from Coonabarabran and 73 km west of Tamworth. Its another place we like to stop at to replenish our water tanks, empty the toilet and get some groceries, Gunnedah has fame as being 'The Koala Capitol of the World' but in the many years we have stopped there we are yet to see one. Gunnedah has a population of some 8000 people and the town is well equipped to service a population of that size...click a photo below for a slide show.

We stay in the RV park, it has all the facilities and is reasonably priced at $25 per night. Town can be walked to but we prefer to drive, its about a km.
The grain trains that frequently pass by during the season attract flocks of corellas and sulphur crested cockatoos. Many Coal trains will pass by too, generally they are not noisy however.Click the link below to travel onto Glen Riddle.
