Meandarra
Meandarra is a town in the Western Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. At the 2006 census, Meandarra and the surrounding area had a population of 341. Its on the Surat Development Road, a route we have not travelled before. Leaving Surat on the Surat Developement road travellers will pass through another small town, Glenmorgan, there is a free camp there too but we decided we might revist Glenmorgan on a future trip, leaving Glenmorgan we spotted an old vehicle musuem, another reason to visit.

Meandarra is a typical small rural town in western Queensland, it has most things that travellers require and was quite a pleasant place.
The old railway station, long disused serves as a shelter shed and museum.
Meandarra is a good place to camp and I can see us returning some day.. Click the link below to move onto Tara.
