Tara
Tara is a town in the Darling Downs region of Queensland located 300 kilometres west of Brisbane. At the 2006 census, Tara had a population of 819. We decided to stop over for a day, we needed some groceries nad there was a camp with power there. Click on a photo below to see the slides..
Adjacent to Settlers Park there is a small campground for over night stays.
No grass here, just bitumen. But at $15 with power and water and toilets with showers we were happy.
Many of Tara's descendants have planted trees in Tara Settler Park, a nice touch. Click on the link below to move onto Bowenville.
